How to use crimp beads and crimping pliers
Crimping pliers are pliers designed especially
for crimp beads. If you are still smashing your crimps flat with a flat plier
then you are really asking for your beautifully created jewelry to fall apart.
Learning to use this handy tool will allow you to make clean, round crimps. This
tool will also give you greater control over those tiny but powerful itty bitty
crimp beads. Step 1:
Insert your crimp bead onto nylon coated
beading wire like Softflex.
Step 2:
Put your crimp bead in the slot closest to your
hand or the inner slot of your crimp tool. Press firmly. Your crimp should now
look like a folded taco or a crescent moon.
Step 3:
Remove your crescent moon crimp from the inner
slot and place it into the top or outer slot of the tool. You can move it around
several time as you press the crimp firmly. You should have a round bead with
your beading wire securely locked.
